Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at this Weigh Safe Pintle Hitch with Built-in Scale for your two and a half inch trailer hitch receiver. Now, one of the standout features of this hitch is the built-in tongue weight scale that you see right here. And so instead of guessing if your trailer is loaded correctly, you're gonna know every time you hook up. This is gonna eliminate the need for separate or commercial scales, and it will make towing a lot safer.
You'll have less sway, better braking, and you're gonna have way more peace of mind, all because you have an accurate representation, an accurate measurement of your tongue weight scale. Now this is also a pretty serious piece of hardware. This is rated up to 22,000 pounds with a 2,200 pound max tongue weight, as you can see listed here on this unit. So this is built for heavy equipment, work trailers, or anything that really pushes the limits. And the pintle hook attachment is going to be compatible with lunette rings of all sizes.
And I just wanted to show you real quickly how easy it's going to be to attach this to a lunette ring. So we do have this tethered safety pin and clip here. And then we've got this lever here that I'm just gonna pull. That's going to allow me to lift that latch up. You'll drop your lunette ring down, and then bring this back down.
That'll be secured in place. And then I'll just replace the safety pin and clip like so. And you're gonna be good to go. Ready to go down the road. Now this is gonna be very easy to get that height adjustment that you're looking for as well.
This is gonna give you about an eight inch drop. This can't be used in the rise position. So again, eight inch drop. That's gonna help you keep your trailer level with taller trucks. You're gonna get two keys here and I'm gonna stick one of them the dual pin slider lock. It's gonna help me remove it. So again, very easy to to get that height adjustment that you're looking for. And then I'm gonna remove this from the shank here real quick, because I want to show you that if you do pick up sometime down the road, the compatible Weigh Safe hitch balls, you're just gonna be able to take this keyring here that you see here in the ball platform. That's gonna allow you to pull that pin out. And then you're gonna be able to remove this pintle hook attachment. And then you can just drop the two and five 16ths inch or two inch Weigh Safe ball there instead. This does not include those ball, this will be just for this pintle hook attachment. But we do carry this with the two balls that will work with this platform. So if you're also looking for that setup, we do carry that here at etrailer.com and you'll be able to find it. Again, that will come with a two inch and a two and five 16ths inch ball, but this particular one will not. Just so you're aware of that. So I'm gonna lock this back into place, replace the cover there to protect that keyway, and we're gonna be good to go. So the build quality is gonna be great. This is an all steel construction. It's got a great black matte powder coat finish on this, textured finish. So I think it's gonna hold up really well. It's gonna look great on the back of your vehicle, and do a great job of protecting this unit from rust and corrosion. You might have some measurements that you're interested in. And I took some that might be helpful for you. Measuring from the center of our pintle hook to the center of our first hitch pin hole, we're sitting right about eight inches. Moving to the center of the second hitch pin hole, a little over nine inches. And from the center of the second hitch pin hole to the end of the shank, right about two and three eights inches. So again, this is going to slide into your two and a half inch trailer hitch receiver. This unit weighs a little over 35 pounds. I do wanna point out that this pintle hook attachment is not gonna be compatible with the aluminum Weigh Safe drop hitch. This was designed specifically to be used with the steel product line only, just so you're aware of that. So again, we do have different variations of this available. If you need this only for the two inch trailer hitch receiver or maybe all the way up to the three inch trailer hitch receiver, we have those combinations available. And again, you can get it with just the pintle hook attachment as we have here, or you can get it with two balls as well. So whatever's gonna work best for you, we've got it. And if you can't find it on the website, don't hesitate to reach out to us. We do wanna be sure that you're getting exactly what you want and need. Well, that's gonna wrap up our quick look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
